Due to the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 landscape, we have made Summer Art Camps "Registration" only.  Payment will be taken on the first day of camp.  Please note dates are subject to change. We will continue to communicate updates as they become available.

Summer Art Camps

June 15– 19: Ages 7 - 12  Register HERE

AM – 9:00 – Noon: Tantalizing Textiles with teaching artist Regina Pericini

Kids will explore new avenues of creativity and learn the basics of surface design. Kids will try, fabric dyeing, sewing, printing, drawing and design, as well as, explore, block printing, as well as about resist and immersion dyeing with both natural & synthetic dyes. Fabrics created are used toward their completely unique final projects!

PM – 1:00 – 4:00: Lines, Shapes and Squiggles, Oh My! with teaching artist Miranda Sue Hartmann

Get your squiggles down on paper.  Using a variety of drawing media from graphite to paint pens, to learn all about the art of drawing. Kids will begin with graphite pencils and work to colored pencils and paint pens to create an original art piece each day. Drawing techniques help to improve hand-eye coordination and encourage attention to small details.

June 23 - 25: Teen Camp, 4-7 PM  Register HERE

Portraiture with teaching artist Tara Thelen For Teens grades 9-12.

Students will explore a variety of drawing techniques such as geometric and 3D drawing, line displacement, and creating depth and form through shading. We'll then use those techniques as the basis for portraiture, starting with all the facial measurements and then moving on to more shading and techniques for creating the individual facial features. We'll wrap up the course with perspective drawings (1 and 2 point perspective), again, with a focus on shading and technique

July 13– 17: Ages 7 - 12. Register HERE

AM Art in Awesome with teaching artists Paloma Rosales

Kids can keep cool this summer by exploring a variety of interesting art mediums. Kids will find creativity in discovering ways to work with clay, fiber, paper and found objects. Kids will be amazed in their ability to create their own robots, bugs and books.

July 27-31: Ages 7 - 12. Register HERE

AM – 9:00 – Noon: Art Expedition with teaching Artist Regina Pericini

Kids will go on an exciting art expedition to create unique artworks inspired by various techniques. Camper will learn about collage, marbling, and paper sculpture. In working with these art mediums, you will have a lot of opportunity to design your own unique pieces to take home.

PM – 1:00 – 4:00: How do you draw that? with teaching artist Miranda Sue Hartmann

Kids who want to learn the basics about how to draw will enjoy exploring a  variety of drawing media from graphite to paint pens, to learn all about the art of drawing.  Kids will create a new project each day.
