We’re Moving!

Announcing New Plans!
I am thrilled to share that we’ll be moving to the Knapp’s Building in downtown Lansing. This special opportunity is for at least one year, thanks to the generosity of the George F. Eyde Family, LLC. This architectural landmark features many desired attributes, including an above-ground location, natural light, and nearby parking.
Our Mission in Action
Since 1965, Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center has served as a mainstay. Thanks to our community, we’re continuing our mission: to provide public awareness, education, and enjoyment of the arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists.
Our Rich History: Facilities and Milestones
Our fifty-five-year journey has included numerous facilities, including the Center for the Arts, Lieberman’s, Jim’s Tiffany, and more. Please enjoy the enclosure, which showcases locations and milestones along the way.
Dreaming Big: Potential Next Steps
We’re still seeking our forever home, “dreaming BIG,” and gaining traction with large-scale projects. I’m proud that our role in the Lansing Mayor’s Arts and Culture Commission built momentum for the recently announced performing arts center.
In Good Stead, with Excellent Stewards
While this move is a short-term solution, we’re developing a long-term vision with our community members, artists, Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and funders. Rest assured, we’re financially healthy, in good stead, with excellent stewards.
