Dear Friends and Fans,

Together, we are unwavering in our commitment to the arts. Thank you for supporting our team’s efforts to share content online daily during our closure. In good news, we’re more dedicated than ever to relevant, authentic, engaging, and timely programs and communications.

Are you seeking bright spots during the global pandemic? Michigan artists are shining online brighter than ever! Just a couple of examples of our member artists shining bright: you can now download Lansing coloring books by Dear Ollie or learn how to draw with Kate Cosgrove.

You can help! As we fulfill our mission online through April 12, our team is truly providing public awareness, education, and enjoyment of the visual arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists digitally. Here are a few ways you can join the effort and help us amplify the voices of Michigan artists:

1.    Comment, share, or tag us on our social media (facebookInstagram, and Twitter).

2.    Share your ideas! Can you help the Gallery rise to the occasion of the global pandemic? Do you have ideas for engagement or funding?

3.    Please give what you can. Recent contributions to the Gallery have ranged from commitments of $10/month to annual gifts of $10,000. Click here to give now to help keep our arts messaging alive during this time of crisis.

Here are a few thoughts I’m manifesting today: Be artful! Be inspired! Be generous to yourself and your loved ones. As always, please feel free to contact me directly at barb@lansingartgallery.org or NEW for the pandemic, on my cell: (517) 883-1435.

Barb Whitney, Executive Director

P.S. Program directors Katrina Daniels and Michelle Carlson have enthusiastically learned, brainstormed, and mobilized to present new opportunities for online engagement and funding for Michigan artists. Canceling and rescheduling events is demanding and demoralizing work. Please take a moment to affirm their efforts: Katrina@lansingartgallery.org and michelle@lansingartgallery.org
