Artist Statement
AJ states:
"Place is a location, a feeling, and an identity. How we view the world around us, and react to it, is derived by our personal existence - how we think, and what we’ve experienced both physically and emotionally. Though our own realities define our unique spheres, we function as a structured population regardless of all this difference.
By altering photographs from various points in her life, Prajzner redocuments memories, and reshapes them based on her current place. Utilizing subjective modifications founded on gained experience and communicated in terms of color, line, and shape, a personal narrative is presented within the search for formal balance in the composition - an organized chaos.
Focusing on cognitive biology and design language, Prajzner’s work explores epistemology and the contradiction of individual perception within a shared network of humanity.”
