This work was inspired by the percussion ensemble at Interlochen Center For The Arts.

Artist Bio

Douglas M Gruizenga has a background in art education and art practice. His major field of study was sculpture and furniture design. Douglas currently works at the esteemed Interlochen Arts Academy. His work is held in public and private collections and widely exhibited nationally.

River Front Park

This large grassy park which overlooks the river is a popular area for visitors to run, cycle, fish, or picnic. This park is East of the Shiawassee Bridge which houses ARTpath murals and across the river from Adado Riverfront Park. This area is expansive with mature shade trees and areas for visitors to relax by the river.
