ARTpath 2020 Artist | Dayna Walton

Artist Bio
Dayna Walton is Grand Rapids based artist, curator and community organizer. She received a BFA in printmaking from Kendall College of Art & Design and currently works at 'Lions and Rabbits Gallery'.
Artist Statement
Dayna says “Pondscum depicts the Grand River through a different lens - a microscope. Imagery of algae, insects, plant life, and microbes become a bit less recognizable when magnified, and can even appear as an other-worldly pattern. This mural is a call to look closer at the species that surround us, to understand our environment, and inspire stewardship of our water and land.”
