2024 Michigan Made | Holiday Exhibition & Market

Call to artists! Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center seeks artists for the Michigan Made | Holiday Art Exhibition & Market, which will feature artworks that range from fine art to small gifts, including jewelry, paintings, pottery, metalwork, leather goods, paper products, glass works, woodworking, and more. We seek contemporary fine art, inspired modern craft, and items designed by Michigan makers! In addition to our regular open hours, the Gallery will be open for special events, and we also sell a collection of the work on our online sales gallery.

Meet the Co-Curators The 2024 Michigan Made | Holiday Art Exhibition & Market will be co-curated by Mike Ross of the Annex Gallery at 333 Midland, and the Lansing Art Gallery's Exhibitions Director Sarah Hopkins.

Eligibility

The 2024 Michigan Made | Holiday Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older who reside in Michigan. All artwork must be original and of the artist’s own creation. Original artworks in any media will be considered. All artwork must have been created within the last three years and meet Lansing Art Gallery & Education Centers' Framing and Presentation Guidelines. Artwork does not have to be holiday-themed.

Meet our Jurors

Mike Ross

Mike Ross is an artist, muralist and curator, working out of 333 Midland Studios and the Annex Gallery since 2014. His work is full of gradient pattern and color suggesting structure coexisting with chaos. He cites the classical Indian musical form of the Raga as an inspiration, with its defined framework and interior improvisation that speaks simultaneously to the present moment and the eternal.  

Ross graduated from Oakland University in 2003, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Studio Art.  

Recent Notable Exhibitions:  Heart & Soul, small group exhibition at Black Box Gallery in Dearborn, MI SHAAAPES, small group exhibition at the Annex Gallery, Highland Park M Solo exhibition: I Thought I’d Be Dead, Disco Walls Gallery, Hamtramck MI Solo Exhibition: the trees are almost green, at the Annex Gallery, Highland Park Heidelberg Project Gallery, curated by James H. Dozier.
