Why: to ignite passion in the visual arts to enhance the quality of life in our community!
How: bringing people together to learn new techniques and media with opportunities to connect and create.
What: classes, workshops, drop-in sessions, opening event activities, and more!

People in the Lansing area are seeking opportunities to come together, share experiences, and enjoy one another. For over thirty years, the gallery has coordinated high-caliber educational programs in conjunction with qualified teaching artists, including K-12 exhibitions, instructional experiences, and a student art gallery. Art Encounters established the following goals:

To make the arts more accessible.
To increase attendance.
To offer hands-on creative experiences.
To enhance community value of arts and culture and encourage future involvement.

Special thanks to our program funders, including Mariel Foundation and Joe D. Pentecost Foundation.
