Lansing Art Gallery presents Plein Air in Michigan, by Grand Rapids artist Shawn Krueger. This exhibition is located at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, at 300 N. Washington Square, in downtown Lansing.

Krueger's Plein Air in Michigan exhibit will feature beautiful renditions of Michigan through the seasons. An established artist, Krueger has exhibited his landscape paintings with a variety of galleries in the Midwest and on the East Coast and garnered a number of awards. His pieces are represented in dozens of private collections, as well as in the permanent collections of the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Calvin College and the Bissell Corporation. The artist’s recent focus in his plein air work has been to find and emphasize a sense of mood and place within the landscape.

Krueger says, "The fine people of the MEDC and the Pure Michigan campaign do a spectacular job of informing people about the many wonderful places and attractions from around our state. But for me, the beauty of our state is that it is full of places with “unremarkable” views, whether it is a highway rest area or a simple clutch of birch trees on a friend’s property."
