Artist Information for Gallery Shop Application Jury
• Artists must be living in Michigan.
• Artists must be 18 years of age or older.
• All artwork must be original art of the artist’s own creation.
• All accepted artwork must be finished and ready for display.
Gallery personnel will display artwork.
• Artwork must have been completed within the past 3 years.
Entry Procedure
Gallery Shop Standards and Quality Jurors include qualified art specialists. These professionals utilize guidelines approved by the Board of Directors. Art specialists adjudicate on a rotating basis, ensuring the Gallery represents a variety of tastes and styles. The jury makes every effort to contact artists within one month of submission receipt.
Artists may send up to 10 images of artwork per submission. Digital files may be submitted by email to Lansing Art Gallery's Jury Committee at lansingartgallery@gmail.com. All images must be in color. All entries must include title, price, medium and dimensions listed for each piece within the email. Please include an artist process statement with each submission.
Commission:
Lansing Art Gallery retains a commission (45% for members and 50% for non-members) of all sales. Artists are not required to be members of the Gallery.
Lease/Purchase program:
Qualifying artwork may be sold through Lansing Art Gallery’s Lease/Purchase program. Clients may lease work for up to six months, and payments apply to the purchase price.
Declined Artwork:
If work is declined, artists may submit artwork to the next jury for consideration. Juror comments are available upon request.
