Exhibition application information

Lansing Art Gallery seeks proposals for upcoming solo and/or group exhibitions in any media. Original 2 or 3-dimensional artwork created by Michigan artists 18 years or older will be considered. Exhibitions will be selected by a jury of qualified art professionals. Proposals received on or before August 15, 2012 will receive first consideration.

Lansing Art Gallery seeks proposals for group exhibitions. Each participating artist must submit 5 JPEG images. The group must designate a representative. Lansing Art Gallery will work exclusively with the representative on all matters.

Lansing Art Gallery is a non-profit arts organization serving Michigan artists for nearly 50 years. The Gallery is located in downtown Lansing and features changing exhibitions, education programs, and a lease/purchase gallery and gift shop. The Exhibition Gallery is approximately 1400 square feet with 110 running feet of wall space.

Gallery Exhibition Space
The Exhibition Gallery is approximately 1400 square feet with 110 running feet of wall space. The panel of jurors will determine allocation of space. The exhibition space may be divided into two smaller spaces during an exhibition cycle. Please indicate your preference on your proposal.

• Exhibit concept statement
• 10 images (Group Exhibit: 5 images from each artist)
• Artist(s) current resume (Group Exhibit: 1 from each artist)
• Email address for notification (Group Exhibit: Email address for representative)

Digital Entry
Digital files must be submitted in a JPEG format. Images should be in color unless the original work is in black and white. If sending a CD, it must be labeled with artist’s name and media using a permanent marker. No paper labels please. Include a comprehensive list of all images listing the media and size for each image. A list with titled thumbnail images is appreciated but not required. The CD will not be returned. Jury notification made by email.
