Lansing Art Gallery seeks Lansing-based Artists/Educators

Lansing Art Gallery’s upcoming expansion and relocation to 119 North Washington Square (January 2011) will offer opportunities for both on-site and off-site educational programming. The Gallery seeks Lansing-based Artists/Educators for educational programming at Lansing Art Gallery and in the Lansing Public Schools.

Students from a variety of economic and geographic backgrounds will benefit from Lansing Art Gallery’s educational programming. Educational opportunities include: Saturday workshops, Art Camp, adult education and Art in Action.

Art in Action is a three-part program that will focus on visual art education and an appreciation for the arts. The program includes: off-site classes, a docent-guided tour of Lansing Art Gallery, and a student art exhibition at the Gallery. Art in Action is supported in part by the Capital Region Community Foundation, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts and Amaco/Brent. With the support of the City of Lansing Arts & Cultural Grant Program funded through the Lansing Economic Development Corporation with help from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Inc.
