Lease Purchase Program
On the first level of Lansing Art Gallery is the Gallery Shop. At any given time, there are approximately 250 artworks in the Lease/Purchase collection, either on the walls or in storage in our back room, that are available for sale or lease.
A gallery representative works with Gallery visitors, assisting them in the selection of Michigan artworks. Sales from the Lease/Purchase Gallery are accomplished in a variety of ways. With staff assistance, the client selects artwork and chooses whether to purchase or lease. If the client selects the lease option, they will pay a monthly rental fee. They may keep the work for up to 6 months. At the end of six months, they may return the artwork and owe nothing more, or deduct 100% of the lease payments from the purchase price, pay the balance and own the artwork.
Lansing Art Gallery’s Lease/Purchase program is a great benefit for artists and patrons alike. It provides important support to Michigan artists, and benefits the art collector with a broad selection of fine art available on easy terms.
During the holidays, the Gallery hosts a Holiday Art Market. This special display of over 100 artists is an excellent option for holiday gifts. Extended hours are offered for holiday shopping.
